Getting Started
Is Aura Kingdom still playable?
Yes. Allure of the Past brings back Aura Kingdom, the classic anime MMORPG, on its own server with a new game client. Patches, balance changes and events arrive often, and every change is written up in the Patch Notes.
Is Allure of the Past free to play?
Yes. Downloading the game, making an account and playing are all free.
Is Allure of the Past on Steam?
No. Allure of the Past isn't on Steam. You download it from the Download page and play through its own launcher.
Is Allure of the Past an official server?
No. Allure of the Past is a private server: a community project, not affiliated with the original publisher.
How do I start playing?
Download and run the installer from the Download page; it fetches the full game. Then sign up for a free AKAP account, log in through the launcher and pick your server.
Which server regions are there?
There are servers in South America, North America and Southeast Asia, plus a proxy for players in China.
What languages is the game in?
You can play in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Chinese and Thai.
Download and Setup
What PC do I need?
A 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC with at least a 4-core processor, 8 GB of RAM and a graphics card with 2 GB of memory. The full game takes 14.9 GB. The Download page lists the minimum and recommended specs in full.
Does Allure of the Past run on Linux?
Yes. Add the game to Steam as a non-Steam game and run it with Proton 10.0-4 (newer versions cause visual problems) and install WebView2.
The game won't start. What can I do?
Install the latest DirectX and Visual C++ runtimes, then try again. If it still won't start, ask for help on the AKAP Discord.
Can I run more than one game client?
Yes. You can run more than one client at the same time.
Playing
Can I change my class?
Yes. You can switch to any class at any moment on the same character, and you keep your level. See every class on the Classes page.
Is there a shop? Is it pay-to-win?
There is a shop, but it sells costumes, mounts and convenience items. Nothing in it is needed to progress.

Post it on the AKAP Discord or r/AuraKingdom. Ideas, feedback and bug reports go straight to the team, so you can help decide what comes next.
